Whilst the guys didn't sell very much they fixed about 25 mandolins, guitars and banjos and created at lot of good will and vibes for our esteemed store. (pictured lower right with a beaut ute!!!) Chris and John would like to thank Max Amos and all the guys that they met especially Bruce and Jan.

DBZ GUITARS NOW IN STOCK - ONLY CERTAIN MODELS - MORE STOCK SOON, see details in guitar showroom. ONE ONLY 'DARK SIDE' USA Custom. Pics on soon!
Guitars Plus have an excellent range of acoustic, electric and nylon strung guitars, as well as unusual older and guitars no longer made - take our Danelectro Convertible for instance, or our Clapton Strat, if these guitars are not considered unusual we don't know what is! Also investment quality instruments are often available, not everthing we handle makes it onto the site - it is often our policy to display the instrument in store for 7 - 10 days for local perusal, in some cases we just don't get time to put certain items on our site. Many a time our store will often act as a broker and put the right guitars into the right hands.
Aussies are known for their adventurous attitude to travel and wherever you go in this wide world one is bound to come across a fellow Aussie, often with a guitar! So should you take your prized solid timber Martin or Maton on your next sojourn? NO is the short answer, and as the world continues to shrink there are a plethora of travel guitars, that are designed for this, many of which are available from us.
And new in store are the new foldaway 'Voyage.Air' guitars; these instruments have to be seen to be believed! In stock now and see details in guitar showroom. Five models in stock and we'll ship for FREE.
It is not our policy to bang on about how good we can be, but we will start to post a few testimonials to encourage first time customers. We have many from as far afield as Berwick (that's Berwick, Scotland folks - not Victoria), Texas and Tokyo.
Here are several from recent customers.
Hi Chris,
Many thanks for the guitar! I couldn't have wished for more and haven't been able to put it down. David McC. Brisbane
Received the bass safe and sound, pleasantly surprised to find how easy it is to deal with someone geographically so far away! G.E. Texas USA
Thanks' to you guys at Guitars Plus, for organizing the purchase and delivery of the "Vintage" guitar, and tweed case for me in Geelong . I am extremely pleased with the guitar and especially with the friendly and helpful service given. I'm sure I'll be dealing with Guitars Plus in the future. Many Thanks' G.Spall Geelong.
Thanks Chris,
I get a quicker, more complete response from you who's halfway around the world then I do in the States. Thank you. The people of Oz are as nice as the scenery! (Have been twice). Cheers Pat. Pat F. - USA
Tip of The Month
Summer is well under way, so keep an eye on your favourite guitar, the sun and its heat are the enemy of any guitar and DO NOT leave any guitar in the boot - even if you have just bought one and are heading for a coffee, or to Southland to pick up a layby - there is zero insulation in virtually all car boots - even the upmarket vehicles have none to speak of. We read a report and test drive of the latest Ferrari California, and one of the main conplaints was the luggage was cooked! We rest our case!
Whilst we recommend restringing every 3-4 months, an annual service can be of great benefit to your instrument. As mentioned many times in the past, we treat your guitar as if it is going up for sale in our showrooms, every little nuance is checked, and when completed goes to another person on staff for a complete play test, and if neccessary back to the bench for further adjustment. Just like a good mechanic, eg. Mr J.L.B. Maketoni of Twokleng Rd Speedy Motors, we pick up on things that may not be apparent, worn nuts, loose machine heads and bushings, flat batteries, divots in frets and unbalanced pickups etc. All this is $75 plus strings, around $15-$20.
Rest assured your ears, guitar, audience and band mates will thank you for it!
Well done JENSON BUTTON claiming back to back Formula One titles for England - never been done before, I think he plays guitar too, his predecessor Lewis Hamilton certainly does (see right). To the right is a pic of Lewis Hamilton - next year to partner Jenson in a maybe invinceable all English F1 team - well they will be using Mercedes engines I suppose! Lewis is playing a recent issue Les Paul Classic and is fingering the proper 'Jimmy Page' G Chord. Racing divers and guitars go together - as do many other sportsmen and women - plenty of down time allows them to hone their skills.
