Time For A New Guitar? Maybe a MATON!!
Thanks to all who attended our Maton night (June 23) it was very successful and we have had excellent feedback from both you and our partners at Maton. Several guitars now have new homes and some future orders have been placed.
Pictures show a small part of the Maton line and they have just relaunched their electric line, new brochure available in store.
If you have not used your incentive money from our Goverment maybe now is the time to invest in a new instrument! Many parents are dusting off their old guitars and getting them serviced for their childrens use, what about a new guitar for dad, or mum? Matons M225 is priced at $999 this month. Guitars Plus has two only at the old price of $899, and ask for our special case / guitar deal! Our store is competetive and can match prices if required, we do however provide after sales service second to none, so please don't shop solely on price!
It is not our policy to bang on about how good we can be, but we will start to post a few testimonials to encourage first time customers. We have many from as far afield as Berwick (that's Berwick Scotland folks - not Victoria), Texas and Tokyo.

Tip of The Month
July is great time to have your guitar serviced and can we remind you all to keep all instruments away from heating ducts and warm outlets in general. Whilst we recommend restringing every 3-4 months, an annual service can be of great benefit to your instrument. As mentioned many times in the past, we treat your guitar as if it is going up for sale in our showrooms, every little nuance is checked, and when completed goes to another person on staff for a complete play test, and if neccessary back to the bench for further adjustment. Just like a good mechanic, we pick up on things that may not be apparent, loose machine heads and bushings, flat batteries, divots in frets and unbalanced pickups. All this is $75 plus strings, around $13-$16.
Rest assured your ears, guitar and band mates will thank you for it!
The photos on our home page feature Maton guitars, the company is 63 years old this year and they do a sterling job. We have in stock the big selling 225 and 325 series as well as the hard to get EML/12 mini 12string (SOLD - Again!) and the Messiah as well as a few variants on the BG808.
Matons are currently running hot and show no signs of slowing down. We have a good array of models in stock and are fielding many Custom Shop inquiries after our show of the 23rd June.
